ARCHIVE 2006: Monday at 5:00pm

The team is doing great and wishes to convey a belated Happy Mother's Day to all of their mothers. I know you are proud of your sons and daughters and Proverbs 23:25 probably rings true with you, "May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice!".

Today they ministered in the village of Sao Benedito. They setup a medical clinic with their team consisting of 3 Doctors, 2 Dentists, and 4 Nurses. They also started their ministry to women, teaching them health advice for them and their families. They even got to pull aside some teenage girls and talk to them about health issues.

The sports ministry started, targeting the young men. They play Frisbee or soccer with them for a little while and then sit down with them and share the gospel. The children's ministry also started and I am sure they had many kids to entertain and train up with bible stories.

Their normal day looks like this:
7:00am -- Breakfast
8:00am -- Devotional
9:00am -- Ministry in the village
12:00pm -- Lunch
1:00pm -- Mandatory Siesta
2:00pm -- Ministry in the village
6:00pm -- Dinner
7:00pm -- Church Service in the village
9ish -- back on the boat and head to a new village over night

Prayer Requests:

1. the weather - it is very hot and humid and it is taxing on everyone
2. upset stomach - there are 2 individuals with minor upset stomachs
3. continued safety and strength.
