Rollin' Up the River
Good Afternoon!
Just got an update from the team. All is well and looks like their plans were adjusted as they are still en route to the first village, Codojas, which they are scheduled to arrive late tonight or early tomorrow morning. They will have traveled more than 24 hours up river from Manaus to reach the first village, which is farther than any of our teams have ever traveled up river.
They are on the Salamone River System and I wish I could provide a link to information on that, but I couldn't find anything. Must be a really remote river that feeds off a main river or a slang name for it. Kind of like those of us who live in Dallas call 75 "central".

The reason they are traveling so far is the local church we partner with really wanted to make contact with the people in this village. What an outreach! That is convicting for me as I think how it can be an inconvenience for me to just go across town, in my vehicle that would take me just a few minutes.
The team is doing well, everyone is excited to arrive and get to work!
Here's how you can pray:
Here's how you can pray:
- Safe travels. I don't know how to spell the Captain's name, but it is pronounced "hi" so pray for him and his team as they navigate the boat, especially at night.
- Team unity. What a great opportunity to really get to know the translators and bond with them.
- Boldness in the village. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Ephesians 6:19

Have a great day and thanks for checking in with us,
